An Irving-based apartment developer has closed on the financing for a 456-home luxury apartment community in Richardson’s Telecom Corridor.

The community, called Jefferson Woods, is underway by Irving-based JPI near North Central Expressway and Glenville Drive and expects to begin delivering units in summer 2018.

The property’s location adjacent to Spring Creek Nature Area and the CityLine development in Richardson will attract a number of residents wanting to live near a work environment with amenities, said Matt Brendel, senior vice president and development partner at JPI.

The terms of the financing deal were undisclosed. Dallas-based JHP is the architecture firm designing the project.

In 2015, JPI finished its first luxury apartment community near State Farm Insurance’s regional hub in Richardson. That project turned out so well — it seems the Irving firm is back for more in Richardson.

Like its earlier project, JPI plans to put some luxury finishes in the apartment homes and bring a Class A apartment community to this part of the region.
