Developer KDC is expected to announce later today that Tom+Chee, famous for its “grilled cheese donut,” is scheduled to open in May 2015. Tom+Chee was created by Corey Ward and executive chef Trew Quackenbush, to be the quintessential grilled cheese and tomato soup shop “for the kid at heart,” the developer said.

It will offer classic comfort food and healthy alternatives.

Edoko Sushi & Robata — which combines traditional Japanese sushi preparation methods, French-taught culinary techniques and western influences — is expected to open in the spring of 2016. CityLine will be the second location for Edoko, which operates with executive chef Chikao Kikuchi at the helm.  The first location is in Frisco. Robata is translated as “around the fireplace.”

The 4,223 square foot CityLine location will feature nearly 1,000 square feet of patio seating. It will be located at the southwest corner of Plano Road and State Street in the Richardson development that’s rising at the intersection of Central Expressway and the Bush Turnpike.

Tom+Chee has been featured on ABC’s Shark Tank, The Chew, The Travel Channel’s Man vs Food Nation, and Amazing Eats. The Today Show named its grilled cheese doughnut one of the “best sandwiches in America.”
