Legendary Video Gaming Company Chooses Richardson

id Software LLC, part of the ZeniMax Media Inc. family of companies, selected Collins Crossing, 1500 N. Greenville Avenue, for its new headquarters, with 57,000 square feet and two floors. The company will bring 250 employees to Richardson in spring 2011. 

id has been world-renowned game developer and technology innovator since 1991, providing technical, design and artistic leadership.

Its iconic brands – Wolfenstein, DOOM, QUAKE and Enemy Territory – have become pop culture staples for generations of gamers. id Software is the third major video gaming company to open in Richardson. 

In 2006, Nerve Software, a development partner, engine and IP licensee of id, relocated its offices to Richardson’s Promenade office tower on Coit Road. Presagis, a military “war games” software developer, also has a Richardson office.
