Benning Power Electronics to Celebrate Inauguration of New North American Headquarters

Benning Power Electronics, Inc., a Richardson, Texas-based designer and manufacturer of power conversion systems [celebrated] its new North American headquarters on September 13, 2011 with a ribbon cutting ceremony and guided tours of the 68,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. The inauguration [was] at Benning’s headquarters located at 1220 Presidential Drive. Benning is the largest of 22 subsidiaries of German-based Benning Worldwide with sales of more than $23 million in 2010.
 
“We are filled with excitement and anticipation to celebrate the inauguration of our new U.S. headquarters with business leaders and government officials throughout the city of Richardson,” said Mario Barbaresso, CEO of Benning Power Electronics. “Benning Power Electronics has experienced rapid growth over the last several years, and we are proud this success brought us to our beautiful new facility, where we look forward to being a part of a vibrant and deepy-rooted business community here in Richardson.”
 
Richardson Mayor Bob Townsend [was] among the special gusts in attendance for the ribbon cutting ceremony and luncheon. Other dignitaries who attended included Bill Sproull, President/CEO, Richardson Chamber of Commerce and Rep. Angie Button, Texas House of Representatives, District 112. 
 
“We [were] also pleased to have executives from Benning Worldwide, our Germany-based parent company joining us for the celebration including Theo Benning, President and CEO, and Zoroan Jakovljevic, director of engineering. 
 
Benning’s new headquarters is more than double the square footage of its previous Dallas location. The expanded office and manufacturing space allows room for continued growth, as Benning hopes to double its workforce of 50 employees by 2016.
 
The new facility features an in-house research and development lab, which allows for the development of new products, and the constant improvement of existing products. There is also a customer training center and a network operations center where Benning can quickly respond to any issues their customers face. Benning also plans to make the facility self-sufficient in its power usage by equipping 50 percent of the building’s roof space with solar panels.
 
Benning’s North American headquarters supports the company’s business efforts in the United States, Canada and South America. Benning’s products serve the power needs of a wide variety of industries, including telecommunications, handling and distribution centers, industrial equipment, data centers, medical power supple, and the military, among others.
