D CEO Names Associa HQ Move to Richardson as 2025 Commercial Real Estate Awards Finalist

Feb 3, 2025

D CEO magazine has announced Associa’s relocation to Richardson, is a finalist in the D CEO 2025 Commercial Real Estate Awards.

Associa is a leading, tech-driven community association and property management firm moving its corporate headquarters from Dallas to Richardson. This move expands its footprint within the city and signifies a significant investment and job creation opportunity for the local business community.

Announced in September 2024, the Richardson Economic Development Department worked closely with Associa to bring the company, its workers and investment to the city.

In a recent Dallas Business Journal report, the move was characterized as “another feather in the cap for Richardson” and a showcase for the kind of real estate activity still occurring in a challenged office market.

The move involved the acquisition of a two-building office complex at the southwest corner of East Lookout Drive and North Plano Road, totaling more than 260,000 square feet. Over three years, Associa will invest $55.5 million to support relocation, consolidating 500 existing employees, and creating 250 new jobs within Richardson. The investment also includes real estate purchases, building enhancements and furniture, fixtures, and equipment expenses. The City of Richarson aided the project with building modernization grants and fee waivers.

In the September announcement, Associa Vice President of Corporate Real Estate Clint Wallis expressed his gratitude that Richardson offers a “dynamic business environment, robust infrastructure, and a vibrant community that aligns perfectly with our company’s values and vision for the future.”

The City of Richardson’s Economic Development Department invites businesses considering expansion or relocation to apply for a range of available incentives available to entities that demonstrate a commitment to significant capital investments, notable job retention or creation, or long-term lease agreements.

Grant opportunities are available for:

  • Building modernization,
  • Tenant improvement,
  • Permit fee waivers, and
  • Job creation.

Each application is evaluated to ensure alignment with Richardson’s goals of fostering economic growth and enhancing the community’s competitiveness. For more information, visit www.RichardsonEconomicDevelopment.com.
