Hitachi open “4G” facility in Richardson

 

Hitachi Communication Technologies America Inc. has opened a new facility in Richardson’sTelecom Corridor. The operation will focus on developing network infrastructure support for what’s known as the fourth generation of mobile communications, or “4G.”

 
An Hitachi spokesman said 45 employees have already moved into the facility, called Dallas R&D Center. Existing office space was re-fitted to cater to Hitachi’s needs.  
“I am very pleased to announce the opening of the new Dallas R&D Center in support of Hitachi’s mobile communications business,” said Yoshihiro Kondo, general manger of the Dallas R&D Center, in a statement. “This location in Richardson is at the heart of this activity in the United States, and I believe that we can expand our business in the near future.”
