In addition to State Farm Insurance, Richardson has begun 2013 with new announcements and strong leasing activity.

Richardson-based Fossil beat analyst forecasts on sales and profit and reported its fourth consecutive quarter of improved results for Q1 2013.  Profit increased 24 percent, and sales rose 15.7 percent.

won four DBJ Real Estate Awards. Among them was State
Farm Insurance for Deal of the Year.

KDC has begun construction on its 186-acre, $2.5 billion site in Richardson, as evidenced by a number of bulldozers turning dirt on the property.

Texas Capital Bank is adding 50,000 square feet of office space to its operations in the building at 2350 Lakeside Boulevard.

City of Richardson was recently ranked third
overall in the Americas, in its size category, in fDi Magazine’s bi-annual “American Cities of the Future” list,
which evaluates cities for their attractiveness for inbound foreign direct
investment.

Safeguard Properties Inc., a company that manages foreclosed homes for mortgage service companies, will open a Richardson office with 200 employees. Safeguard is the first tenant to occupy the newly renovated Greenway II complex at 2400 Lakeside Blvd., leasing the 22,000-square-foot third floor of the building.

State Farm Insurance dominated the latest Top 25 listing as the tenant in three of the top five Office Leases for deals signed in 2012. Two of the three leases are in Richardson.

The Federal Communications Commission has given its approval to a proposed combination of Richardson-based MetroPCS Communications Inc. and T-Mobile USA Inc.
