Richardson-based Alliance
Architects, Inc. has completed shell and interior
design services for DataBank’s new
facility in Richardson’s Telecom Corridor(R). Located within Digital Realty’s Dallas Data
Center Park Campus, the building is one of the very few multi-tenant, top-tier
colocation data center facilities in the state.
facilities are designed from converted warehouses or industrial space, the
DataBank facility was designed and built specifically for use as a data
center. Modeled after DataBank’s
original facility, formerly the Federal Reserve Bank Building, the
space offers the same look and feel of the company’s downtown Dallas data center.
The new facility accommodates 50,000+ square feet
of technical space, including approximately 41,000+ square feet of data hall
dedicated to customer hardware. Boasting true 2N power design, the facility offers custom high-density
power delivery architecture and access to top network providers. Additional
features also include a NOC (Network Operations Control), two MMR’s
(Meet-Me-Rooms), conference room, executive offices and a tech lounge. All infrastructure
critical components are housed within the equipment yard which in enclosed by a
20’ tall wall and constructed of 9” thick reinforced concrete. Perimeter fencing surrounds the property,
offering secure access to the property.
