New Names for UT Dallas Management School, Management Honors Program Recognize Record Alumni Gifts
The University of Texas at Dallas joins the ranks of named business schools across the nation in honor of the generosity of three alumni who contributed an unprecedented combined gift of $30 million. The School of Management will now be known as the Naveen Jindal School of Management. The Management Honors Program will be known as the Charles and Nancy Davidson Honors Program.
Texas is second in both tech jobs, tech job losses
Texas maintained its rank as the second-largest state for high-high tech employment in 2010, behind California. Although Texas also lost tech jobs last year, the state added 1,900 jobs in the field of computer systems design and related services and 300 positions in engineering services.
Wingstop Sales Up 5.6 Percent in Third Quarter
Wingstop’s same store sales for the third quarter are up 5.6 percent over the same quarter last year, and up 4.7 percent for the year-to-date, marking more than eight consecutive years of positive sales for the brand.

Original DART charter board member “Mr. Richardson” steps down
Raymond D. Noah, who has been on the DART board since its
inception in 1983, is stepping down. Long before the grand opening of light
rail service to Richardson in 2002, Noah worked with city and business leaders
to make DART’s Galatyn Park Station the gateway to the Galatyn Park retail and
residential development.
D-FW office leasing pulls ahead in recent months
The Dallas-Fort Worth office market has seen a surge in the last three months, with net leasing up by more than a half million square feet since mid year. Most of the jump in office space demand has come in the Uptown, Telecom Corridor and West Plano business districts.
