FireHost, a Richardson supplier of secure Web-hosting services, has landed a $10 million investment which will be partly used to expand into Europe.

Benning Power Electronics, Inc., a Richardson, Texas-based designer and manufacturer of power conversion systems celebrated its new North American headquarters with a ribbon cutting ceremony and guided tours of the 68,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. 

Flexjet has renewed its lease for 10 years at its Richardson headquarters, citing economics and employee satisfaction with the office at 3400 Waterview Parkway.

Stream Data Centers – which just sold its new Richardson data center building – is about to break ground for an even larger project in the Telecom Corridor.

UT Dallas is expected to break several records this fall, including a new total student enrollment number, according to John Walls, associate vice president for communications.

As of August 2011, 20 new restaurants have opened or expanded in Richardson this year as they continue to take advantage of strong business activity and several new and remodeled centers within the city.

relocations and expansions are more than double last year’s totals. Through
June, 24 completed projects reported by the REDP involve 5,174 new or retained
jobs (versus 1,918 in 2010) and the occupancy of 1,334,728 square feet of
non-retail commercial space (versus 631,032 in 2010).
