Chamber launches task force to redevelop heart of Richardson’s Telecom Corridor(R)

The heart of the Telecom Corridor®, the “East Arapaho study area” defined by E. Collins on the north, Apollo Rd. on the south, Greenville Ave. on the west and Plano Rd. on the east, needs updating. The Chamber has established an initiative to seek a business stakeholder consensus on both private and public measures that would enhance the area’s economic vitality. The RCC’s “East
Arapaho Task Force”, comprised of major property owners and employers in the area,
held its first meeting on March 29. 

REDP launching young professionals talent attraction campaign July 12

To respond to the changing job market and compete for Millennial workers, the REDP team has been working on a talent attraction campaign to tell the story of why Richardson is an exciting place for young professionals to live, work and play. The campaign consists of five promotional videos and a landing page linking young professionals to specific job openings and residential options in Richardson.

Richardson has sizable inventory of ready-to-go chunks of office space

Richardson’s Telecom Corridor(R) currently has a sizable inventory of desirable, ready-to-go and large chunks of office space available when the right user shows up. Notable expansions and relocations of 2016 include e2v, Aprima Medical Software and Service King.

Skelton represents Richardson at US Ignite Conference, SXSW

The past several months have been very busy for international economic development. VP for International Business Mike Skelton traveled to Washington, D.C. to attend a US Ignite applications conference, attended the SXSW Conference in Austin, and worked with international delegations from France and Japan.
