Capital Commercial Investments Inc., an Austin-based real estate investor, has bought the Turnpike Commons building in the Telecom Corridor from high-tech firm Cisco Systems.

REDP kicking off campaign to attract young STEM talent to Richardson

REDP is investing in a talent attraction campaign this year to attract young, tech-savvy to live in Richardson and work for one of many companies recruiting STEM talent. This initiative will have two components: a comprehensive labor study and a marketing attraction campaign.

Richland College and Associa team up to train 200 employees though Skills Development Fund grant

Last year, Richland College received a $449,988 Skills Development Fund Grant from the Texas Workforce Commission to train Associa employees on-site at their new Richardson location, and since then over 200 employees have completed 35 classes through the grant. Surprisingly, less than 5% of Richardson companies know of grants such as these, targeted specifically to assist businesses in job training and furthering their employees’ education.
