Fossil 3rd-quarter net income rises

Richardson-based Fossil Inc. reported that third-quarter net income rose 2 percent, above Wall Street expectations, on strong global sales of watches and leather goods. Net income rose 2.1 percent to $69.6 million, or $1.09 per share, from $68.2 million, or $1 per share. Revenue rose 22.7 percent to $642.9 million from $523.8 million last year.

Legacy-GID JV Sells 285-Unit Venue to Amli

Legacy Partners Residential Development and Boston-based General Investment & Development Cos. have sold the 285-unit Venue in Richardson to Amli Residential.

Franklin Street Properties Buys AT&T Building in Richardson

Massachusetts-based Franklin Street Properties Corp. has acquired the AT&T Services Building at 1410 Renner Road in Richardson. The 122,300-square-foot office facility is fully leased to AT&T Services, a subsidiary of AT&T Inc.

Freese and Nichols moving to bigger spot

Freese and Nichols Inc. – an engineering, architecture and environmental services firm – will double its office space in Richardson to meet increased demand for the firm’s natural gas and oil pipeline services. 

3Q Brings Office Absorption Gains

According to the research team at Grubb & Ellis Co., Dallas-Fort Worth office absorbed about 736,000 square feet of office space in the third quarter of 2011, more than half of the year’s total of 1.4 million square feet. The gains were largely felt in the Richardson/Plano/Allen sub-market.
